Stand Against Hate

An important message from the Fountain Project

March 19, 2021 Atlanta, Georgia. “Silence” said President Joe Biden “is complicity”.

Fountain Project’s Board of Directors agrees. We speak in accordance with FP’s values of, diversity, equity and inclusion, to respond in solidarity to support the AAPI community right now, and forever. Expressions of violence and racism in any form are wrong and have no place in Fountain Project’s wonderfully diverse friends, donors, volunteers, and community partners of multiple identities.

One can't address the problem of “you/me/us” vs those who are different without acknowledging how huge the problem is. FP asks you to help us in solidarity: First, pay attention to yourself, your thoughts, your actions.

How can you help the community?

  • Ask if you can join someone who needs some companionship for a walk or to run errands with them to feel more secure out in their community?

  • This simple act of kindness: reaching out and offering assistance, works powerfully towards change.

  • Stay positive and continue with your practice to maintain your good health

  • Kindness is the foundation of good health for the mind and body

Please feel free to send an email about helping the community and FP: [email protected]

HOLIDAYS Exercise drive

During the pandemic years, it is more important than ever to exercise regularly to stay healthy. Not only does regular exercise strengthen the immune system, Fountain Project will also be donating food to families immediately in need.

For every 15 minutes that you exercise or meditate (any form welcomed), Fountain Project will donate $2.50 of food to Bay Area Rescue Mission, a local homeless shelter in Richmond, California.

Each person can enter up to 60 minutes per day (15 min per unit, up to 4 units per day max). Please submit your completed form once the form is filled up. The Fountain Project is aiming to raise a total of 900 hours of exercise which is equivalent to $9,000 worth of food (fresh baked bread, canned cranberries, rice and beans for Thanksgiving).

One form per person. We hope you will join Fountain Project to complete its ‘exercise drive’ to donate food to the families in need.

Download this form to log your total activities and email it to [email protected] to be processed.

Thank you for your effort to help us support our community.

SUNDAY 10AM, 5/3/2020

Join James Baraz as he explores "Fear or Love: We have a choice." At this time of uncertainty, the mind can go towards worry, anxiety or compassion and connection. If we are committed to finding our own center in the middle of the swirl of emotions that naturally arise, we can access inner peace and our actions will be beneficial to everyone we meet.

James is creator and teacher of the Awakening Joy course. He is a co-founding Teacher of Spirit Rock Meditation Center in Woodacre, CA and a dear friend of the Fountain Project.
