The Fountain Project Health and Wellness Center (FPHWC) will launch its healthcare services on Saturday January 27th, 2024.

The FP Health and Wellness Center (FPHWC) is located inside the LifeLong William Jenkins Center

at 150 Harbour Way, Richmond, CA.

The FREE medical and health services and wellness classes are offered on 

- Thursdays from 5:30PM to 8:30PM

- Saturdays from 9:00AM to 2:30PM
 

The FPHWC will be offering free services of acupuncture, chiropractic, massage, occupational therapy, osteopathy, and life coaching primary clientele of the FPHWC are unhoused and people in need.

The FPHWC also offers a variety of classes all FREE such as Art and Movement, Stretch and Wellness, Yoga, Tutoring, Blood Pressure and Diabetes Monitoring, Keep Calm and other classes.

How do you offer all of your services for free?

We have a generous grant that supports us to offer all of our services for free, and also to pay our providers and teachers, rent a beautiful clinic space, get supplies, and make sure we have what we need to provide comprehensive services. 
 

Can I make an appointment online?

Yes, go to https://www.fountainproject.org/ and click on the book now button.  Make an account and then set up an appointment based on what service you want.

Can I call to make an appointment?

Yes!  Just call 341-333-8595, if no one answers leave a message or a text. 

What if I don't have insurance?

No insurance needed!  We do not take any insurance information.

What information do you need from me?

We only need your name and for your to sign a consent (optional to give us your birthdate, email, phone number, health history).

How many times can I come to get a free appointment?

We are suggesting you come to 10 appointments per year, it is possible to do a few more but you need to get approval from our Medical Director, Erlene Chiang

How do you check if I am qualified?

Anyone can come in for services, we do not have qualifications for our services

Can anyone come for an appointment?

Anyone can come for an appointment, as long as they are 18yrs old or older

What about children?

We do not provide services to children at this time 

What can I bring my children to?

You can bring your child your appointment or class, we do have art spaces for kids to join, check out schedule

Are your providers students?

Our providers are all licensed and experienced in their various fields

What classes do you have and how do you sign up?

Our classes are listed on this website______We also have flyers available or you can call to ask about a class.  All of our classes are drop in and accessible to anyone!

What if you are a beginner to movement, meditation, art?

Beginners are welcome!  Anyone can join our classes.

Are you partnered with Lifelong Medical?

We are working with Lifelong, they refer folks to us and we can also refer folks to Lifelong.

Do you treat children? 
No, we don't treat anyone under the age of 18 years old.

 

Do you do telemedicine?
We do telemedicine for psychotherapy and life coaching.  All other services are in-person.

 

What other languages do you speak if I don't speak English?
We speak Spanish, Chinese Mandarin and Cantonese.

 

Is this a safe and secure place to come to?
Yes, all of our treatment rooms are private rooms. Your information and status is safe with us.

Volunteers are needed immediately!

The volunteers are expected to help with the providers' needs, take notes, translate and guide the patients to the treatment rooms and return to the front desk. Spanish speakers are especially needed.  Volunteers will be standing in the same treatment room with the provider and with the patient from time to time.  Volunteers must be physically fit and be able to go upstairs without any assistance. Volunteers must show integrity, time management, independence, and have a strong sense of responsibility. No prior training is needed.  FPHWC will train its volunteers.

 

All staff, patients and volunteers must wear a face mask at all times. No exception. Volunteers will be working in an environment with aerosol transmitted diseases such as cold, flu, or even COVID. Vaccination is strongly recommended.  If volunteers choose not to have vaccines, they have the right to decline and sign vaccine declination forms.  However, a face mask (surgical or N95 equivalent) must be worn at all times.
